She turned to go, running, but to make sure that he wouldn’t come looking for her she called back. “I’ll be back!”
And just as she turned a corner, heading deep into the forest, she felt herself begin to disappear, but before she left, she heard him call out.
“I’ll wait for you.” And then she was gone.
